Peak rating is a drama's highest single-episode nationwide household rating: the share of TV-owning households across South Korea watching that episode. Every figure comes from the episode ratings table in the drama's Wikipedia article, which cites Nielsen Korea (labelled AGB Nielsen in the 2015–16 tables).1 A series with several seasons appears once, at its best season. Backstreet Rookie's 9.5% is for the second half of an episode that SBS aired in two parts.14 "Original work" is what the drama's article names as its source: a webtoon, or a novel or web novel that was also published as a webtoon. Where a platform is shown, it is the one the article names. Dramas made only for streaming services, such as Netflix's Sweet Home and Disney+'s Moving, have no Nielsen TV rating and are left out.2324 So are dramas based on web novels or novels for which the articles used don't mention a webtoon edition. The highest are JTBC's Reborn Rich (26.948% in December 2022), KBS2's Love in the Moonlight (23.3% in October 2016) and tvN's Bon Appétit, Your Majesty (17.107% in September 2025).192021 MBC's Knight Flower (18.4%) is also left out: its KakaoPage webtoon launched in August 2023, five months before the drama, and credits the drama's own writers, Lee Sam and Jeong Myung-in, so it reads as a tie-in rather than a source.22 The list stops at 18 because the next candidate, tvN's Misaeng: Incomplete Life, has a ratings table that doesn't say whether its 8.4% peak is nationwide.26 Candidates were drawn from Wikipedia's category of television shows based on South Korean webtoons.27
