Rosé로제
Rosé (로제; real name Roseanne Park, Korean name Park Chae-young, 박채영) is a singer with New Zealand and South Korean citizenship, and a member of the girl group BLACKPINK. She came first in YG Entertainment's 2012 audition in Sydney, trained with the label for four years and debuted with BLACKPINK on August 8, 2016.1 In June 2024 she signed a management contract with The Black Label (더블랙레이블), a YG associate company founded by BLACKPINK's producer Teddy, and that September a solo record deal with Atlantic Records.1
Her debut single album, R (March 12, 2021), sold 448,089 copies in its first week, the highest figure for a Korean female soloist. Its lead single, "On the Ground", topped the Billboard Global 200, making her the first artist to top that chart both as a soloist and as part of a group.1
"APT.", her October 2024 duet with Bruno Mars, made her the first female K-pop artist to reach the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100.3 It peaked at number three and spent 45 weeks on the chart, and the IFPI, the global recording-industry body, named it the best-selling global single of 2025, the first winner with non-English lyrics.4 Its music video reached one billion views in 105 days, the fastest for any K-pop video, and with 2.71 billion views as of October 10, 2026 it is #2 on DabPop's list of the most-viewed K-pop music videos.2 Her debut studio album, Rosie (December 6, 2024), debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.1
"APT." won Song of the Year, a daesang (grand prize), at the 2025 MAMA Awards, her first.5 It also won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards and International Song of the Year at the 2026 Brit Awards, a first for a Korean act at each.1 In fashion, Saint Laurent named her a global ambassador in July 2020 and Tiffany & Co. did the same in April 2021 (see DabPop's list of K-pop idols who are luxury brand ambassadors).6
