About DabPop
DabPop ranks Korean pop culture by the numbers. The Wave is K.
DabPop covers K-pop, K-dramas, Korean film, variety shows, webtoons, K-beauty, Korean food and whatever Korean craze is trending, plus the idols, actors, creators and companies behind them. Every ranking is built on published numbers: chart positions, album sales, streams, views, TV ratings, box-office admissions, awards and company filings.
How the rankings work
- One clear metric. Each ranking says exactly what it measures, such as YouTube views, Nielsen Korea ratings or KOBIS admissions, and when the figures were checked.
- A source for every row. Figures come from official or primary sources wherever they exist: Circle Chart, Hanteo, Billboard, Spotify, YouTube, Nielsen Korea, KOBIS, Netflix and company reports. Each page lists what it used.
- Trimmed, never padded. If reliable data runs out at 12 entries, the list stops at 12.
- Neutral titles. Rankings are named for what they measure ("best-selling", "most-streamed"), never "best" or "greatest". Fan polls are never used as a ranking metric.
What we cover, and what we don't
DabPop sticks to measurable facts and the public record, such as release dates, awards, chart history, military-service dates announced by agencies, and court rulings. We don't cover dating rumours, unconfirmed allegations, appearance or anyone's private life, and we don't publish news articles or reviews.
Names and language
DabPop is written in English. Artists appear under their stage names, with Korean names and titles in Hangul alongside, and real names are written family name first in the spelling the person or their agency uses.
Not affiliated
DabPop is an independent site. It isn't affiliated with any artist, agency, broadcaster, streaming service or chart. Names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.
