Actors With the Most Baeksang Arts Awards Acting Wins

Every one of Ahn Sung-ki's nine Baeksang acting wins came for film. He won Best Actor – Film eight times, the most anyone has won a single Baeksang acting category, starting with four in a row from 1982 to 1985: Mandala (만다라), Village in the Mist (안개마을), The Flower at the Equator (적도의 꽃) and Deep Blue Night (깊고 푸른밤).³

He won again for The Age of Success (성공시대) in 1989 and Who Saw the Dragon's Toenails (누가 용의 발톱을 보았는가) in 1991. In 1994 the buddy-cop comedy Two Cops (투캅스), with Park Joong-hoon, earned him both Best Actor and the Grand Prize for film, the Daesang (대상), the top award of the night. His last win was for the 2011 film Unbowed (부러진 화살) in 2012.¹³¹⁷

Ahn was born in 1952 and died on January 5, 2026.¹⁷

Her other Best Actress – Television wins came for Sons and Daughters in 1993, Wife (아내) in 2003 and How Long I've Kissed (아내의 자격) in 2013. That makes four in the category, level with Kim Hye-ja and Jung Hye-sun for the most.⁶²⁰
